Do I have to stay at Moon Palace Cancun?

If you are only attending the reception and none of the other events at the resort, you do not need to stay there. However, since most of the wedding weekend will take place on the property, staying at the resort will be the easiest and most convenient option.
Is there a fee if I book outside the room block?

Yes. Booking outside the room block means you will not have access to the discounted group rate, the included perks, or the wedding weekend events.
Please note that Uber is not available at the airport, and we strongly recommend that you do not take a taxi.
Moon Palace offers airport shuttle transportation. When you book a stay of four nights or more directly through the official Moon Palace website, complimentary round-trip airport transportation is included. For stays of fewer than four nights, shuttle service is available for an additional fee.
To reserve your transportation, submit your flight information through the Palace Resorts Transfer Portal at least 48 hours before your arrival. Complimentary transportation cannot be arranged for last-minute walk-ups at the airport.
Is airport transportation included? Can I just Uber or Take a taxi?

When should I book my room?
As soon as possible. Rooms may fill quickly, and the deadline to book within the block and submit full payment is December 1st, 2026. After that date, we cannot guarantee availability or the group rate.

When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving by Thursday to settle in and enjoy the resort before the wedding. The group rate is available 3 days before and after the wedding, so feel free to arrive earlier or extend your stay and make it a full vacation.

Do I need a passport?
Yes. A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. It should be valid for at least six months beyond your return travel date.

What is there to do at the resort?

Quite a bit. Moon Palace The Grand offers multiple pools, a water park with slides and a lazy river, non-motorized water sports, a luxury spa, a Jack Nicklaus golf course, a fitness center, nightly entertainment, bowling, numerous gourmet restaurants, and a speakeasy with craft cocktails. There is an adults-only pool, supervised kids clubs, and teen arcade areas as well.

Are Kids and Children allowed?
We respectfully request that no children attend the ceremony or reception. The only children in attendance will be those who are part of the wedding party and are related to the couple.
If your children would still like to join you on vacation, we will be happy to provide a list of trusted nannies and babysitters available at Moon Palace Resort. The resort also offers a kids’ club, which is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
